I first began to understand the importance of proper nutrition at a young age and became aware of an increasing aspiration to help people. Through environmental and educational experiences, I have become a strong-willed, goal-oriented individual, with a growing desire to help others through clinical nutrition and dietetics.
In pursuing professional goals, I transferred from Victor Valley College to CSU San Bernardino to study Nutrition and Food Science. After receiving a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Food Sciences, the ISPP dietetic internship program was the next big accomplishment in preparation for the Registered Dietitian exam. I have experienced many intriguing aspects throughout the internship. Even as an intern, I felt I have contributed to public health awareness, which is very intrinsically rewarding for me.

Once I received the RD credential, I started in the clinical setting at Desert Valley Hospital, delivering nutrition education to patients with various health conditions and disease states. Within a year, I was offered an opportunity to practice as a renal dietitian at Desert Cities Dialysis. I've had great pleasure working with the interdisciplinary team hoping to achieve improved health outcomes with chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients on dialysis. Before long, I began to realize the need for further nutrition education in the CKD non-dialysis population. That notion led me to the most recent milestone of my career, the opening of Browning Nutrition. This consulting company will hopefully allow me to provide guidance and be a nutrition coach for those with other health concerns including but not limited to CKD non-dialysis, diabetes, and obesity.
Therefore, I am excited to dive further into the field of nutrition, for my contribution along with many other colleagues and healthcare professionals will inevitably create synergy leading to a significant difference.
